Restaurant Schoenbrunn, am Schwanenteich im Volkspark Friedrichshain, Berlin

Another summer time only thing. The Restaurant Schoenbrunn basically only opens from April to October. (Nov - March only on the weekends 10:00 - 17:30). But we lately found out that the chef changed and we were really surprised by the extraordinary value for money we got.

We ordered a small veal Schnitzel accompanied by a lukewarm potato salad as well as a fresh cold cucumber salad with sesame topping(9 EUR)and a salad with fresh chanterelles (9 EUR).

The small menu card
changes weekly and got German and French classics.

Alte Liebe, Havelchaussee 107, 14055 Berlin

We chose this floating restaurant for it's probably the most romantic and beautiful place to eat in Berlin - food this time, is rather secondary.

The kitchen is pretty old fashioned Berlin style, haven't changed for the last like 50 decades or so.

We chose grilled trout (about 14 EUR) and a mixed fish plate (about 15 EUR) served with potatoes and cooked vegetables - the portions were big and the fish was fresh.
